Palak Driver Jak Lingko Tanah Abang Claims To Be Police Intel, Even Though He Has Been Fired

JAKARTA - Didik Tri Kristiawan (46) was fired by the police who were registered as a resident of Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, who tested positive for methamphetamine after a urine test was carried out by the Gambir Metro Police.

In addition to being positive for methamphetamine, Didik was detained by the Gambir Metro Police for being involved in the extortion case against the Jak Lingko public transportation driver.

The incident occurred at the JakLingko angkot base at Tanah Abang Station, Cideng Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta on Monday, March 10, at around 19.00 WIB.

Dari hasil pemeriksaan penyidik Polsek Metro Gambir, ternyata tersangka Didik sempat mengaku sebagai polisi saat melalukan aksi pemerasan terhadap driver angkot.

"He claimed to be Police intelligence, 'I am intelligence' said the perpetrator," said Gambir Metro Police Chief, Kompol Rezeki R. Respati to reporters, Wednesday, March 12, afternoon.

The suspect admitted that he was intelligence to the angkot driver he blackmailed. Apparently, the victim and other residents fought back against the suspect who blackmailed asked for a 'gas ration'.

"Then the weapon (of the perpetrator) fell, was secured by the community when it was detonated above, it turned out to be a match, so the toy gun (which was brought by the perpetrator)," he said.

Then during further investigations, the suspect has been fired from the National Police institution since 13 years ago. He was at PTDH (Disrespectful Dismissal) in 2012.

"Since 2012, the perpetrator has not become a member of the National Police. After being checked, it turned out that the urine was positive for methamphetamine," he said.

The perpetrator admitted that he had only committed extortion once in front of Tanah Abang Station. The suspect also got drugs from the Kampung Bahari area, North Jakarta.

"The suspect is unemployed. He was dissertation because he had not been in service for more than 30 days," he said.

For his actions, Didik was charged with Article 368 of the Criminal Code related to extortion. To prevent a similar incident in the month of Ramadan, the Gambir Metro Police has formed an Anti-Begal Team.

Previously, it was reported that a man who fired the National Police with the initials DTK (45) was arrested by the masses while extorting an angkot driver at the Jak Lingko base at KAI Tanah Abang Station, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrator was then handed over to the Gambir Police Headquarters along with the weapons carried by the perpetrators to carry out the extortion.

When examined further, it was discovered that the man was a former member of the Police who had been dishonorably dismissed in 2012 due to a dissertation case.
