172 Producers Of Minya Kita Will Be Examined By The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The Police

TANGERANG Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police plans to follow up on the results of checking hundreds of Minya Kita producers throughout Indonesia. This is done to ensure that all producers comply with the standards of the dose set by the government.

Head of the National Police Headquarters Food Task Force, Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, revealed that based on the data received, there were 172 manufacturers that needed further checking. The goal is to identify whether there are producers who deliberately reduce the volume of their product doses.

"If according to this data, there are 172 producers," Helfi told reporters when met at PT Honest Sentosa, Batuceper, Tangerang City, Wednesday, February 12.

However, Helfi has not been able to mention in detail the list of the 172 producers. This is because his party is still in the process of data collection and recapitulation.

"Currently, we are currently recapitulating all the data. But what is clear is that all of our ranks continue to check starting from producer D1 (Distributor 1), D2 (Distributor 2), to retailers. They report on developments gradually every day to us at the center," he explained.

Brigadier General Helfi emphasized that checks will be carried out not only for producers registered with the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (Simirah), but also for those who have not been registered. The goal is to ensure that there are no violations committed by the producers.

We will check all manufacturers, both those registered in Simirah and those who are not registered. This is to ensure that our availability of cooking oil is sufficient. Just make sure that the packaging and distribution mechanism goes well, so there are no problems," said Helfi.

This step is taken as an effort by the government to maintain consumer security and ensure that all producers comply with the predetermined rules. Checks will continue until all producers are declared to comply with applicable standards.
