TANGERANG - Head of PT Tunas Agro Indolestari Factory, Julianto, acknowledged the negative impact after the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman found Minya Kita packaged cooking oil that was not in accordance with the dose at Lenteng Agung Market, South Jakarta, on Saturday, March 8.

According to Julianto, the viral findings on social media have triggered a large number of confirmations from consumers regarding the alleged reduction in the amount of cooking oil produced. This led to a decrease in the ordering of MinyaKita products from the factory.

"Yes, the impact will definitely be there, sales will decrease like local products. There are many questions from consumers," said Julianto when met at his office on Jalan Mekar Jaya, Sepatan, Tangerang Regency, Monday, March 10.

However, Julianto admitted that he had not calculated the total number of decreased orders. However, he mentioned that usually there are a lot of trucks coming to pick up orders, but this time the number has decreased significantly.

"Yes, I don't know yet, but what is certain is that it will decrease. If the number, there are, because there are still messages," he said.

Meanwhile, a factory employee named Redi (not her real name) also confirmed a decline in product delivery activity. According to him, the situation is quieter than the previous week.

"So it's quiet. Usually, if there is a Minya Kita, it's crowded. But I don't know why. Today, nothing fit (takes) or is empty," said Redi.

The Findings Of The Minister Of Agriculture Regarding Our Minya Kita

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman previously conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at Lenteng Agung Market, South Jakarta, Saturday, March 8. During the inspection, he found Minya Kita products that were not in accordance with the dose, namely only 750 to 800 milliliters, not 1 liter as stated in the package.

The volume is not appropriate, it should be 1 liter but only 750 to 800 milliliters. This is a form of fraud that harms the people, especially in the month of Ramadan when basic needs increase," said the Minister of Agriculture.

The Minister of Agriculture requested that the three producers of MinyaKita, who were suspected of committing the violation, be sealed and closed if they were proven to have violated the rules. In addition, he stressed that the act constituted fraud that could not be justified.
