In the villages of Karangligar and Sukamakmur, as many as 449 houses were still flooded with heights varying between 20-200 centimeters.

A total of 556 families consisting of 1,738 people were affected by the flood. Of the flood-affected residents, 713 people are still displaced.

Head of BPBD Karawang Mahpudin said that currently most of the flooded areas have receded.

Floods in Karawang have occurred since the last few days due to high rainfall that has triggered the overflow of the Cibeet and Citarum rivers.

Previously, floods in Karawang hit 15 villages/kelurahan spread across five sub-districts, namely, in Karangligar Village, Parungsari, Mekarmulya, Mulyajaya, and Wanakerta Village in Telukjambe Barat District.

Then in Telukjambe Timur District, Sukamakmur and Purwadana villages were hit by floods. Then in Pangkalan District, floods occurred in Mulansari, Ciptasari, Tamansari and Tamanmekar Villages.
