Head Of The Richest Region In Indonesia Visits Former Governor Of North Maluku AGK Convicted Of Critical Gratification At Ternate Hospital

JAKARTA - Governor of North Maluku (Malut) Sherly Tjoanda visited former Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba (AGK) who was in critical condition being treated at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr. Chasan Boesoirie, Ternate, Friday 7 March.

The governor's entourage arrived at the location at around 15.25 WIT and was greeted by the Director of RSUD dr. Chasan Boesoerie Ternate, Dr. Alwia Assegaf. They went straight to the IVth floor of the ICU room where AGK was being treated.

"We have seen his condition, currently Mr. AGK is not aware, but maybe his consciousness is 50 percent, but not in a coma. He is aware that when we talk, he can still open his eyes and his hands can still move," said Sherly, who, based on the report recorded in the LHKPN, is the richest regional head in Indonesia at this time.

After seeing AGK's condition, Sherly said that the former Governor of North Maluku could still speak even though he looked critical.

Sherly invites the people of North Maluku to pray for the recovery of AGK, which currently requires serious treatment due to complications he has suffered.

"My message is for the family, for the community, let's all pray for healing to Pak Ustadz Abdul Gani Kasuba, he is a former Governor of North Maluku, our senior. He is also very close to my late husband, Mr. Benny Laos. The last time I met Mr. Ustadz was in September and he was still able to talk," said Sherly.

Previously, the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Ternate District Court sentenced former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba (AGK) to eight years in prison in cases of bribery and gratification within the North Maluku Provincial Government.

In addition to the prison sentence, the judge also sentenced the defendant Abdul Gani Kasuba to pay compensation for state losses in the amount of Rp109.056 billion and 90,000 US dollars.
