The Alor Resort Police (Polres) collaborated with the National Police's forensic laboratory team (labfor) to uncover the cause of the burning of a grocery store in Kalabahi City, Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The fire resulted in a pregnant woman and two toddlers dying.

"We have asked the laboratory team to come to reveal the cause of the burning of the shop," said Alor Police Chief AKBP Supriadi Rahman from Alor, Friday, March 7, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the laboratory team would later conduct an inspection at the scene of the incident.

"Today it will arrive and go directly to the crime scene to process the crime scene and identify it," he said.

Until now, the police are still installing police lines at the location of the fire. Based on the results of an interim investigation, the fire at the grocery store also scorched one food stall, one house and three stalls.
