Prodi Boss's Child Trial Defendant In Murder And Rape Case Held March 12

JAKARTA - The son of Prodia's boss, Arif Nugroho alias Bastian, will soon be tried in connection with the alleged murder and rape of minors, at the South Jakarta District Court. The plan, the inaugural trial will be held next week.

"The panel of judges chaired by Mr. Arif Budi Cahyono has determined the day of the first trial, namely Wednesday, March 12," said Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto to reporters, Thursday, March 6.

The schedule for the inaugural trial is for Arif Nugroho alias Bastian and his colleague Muhamad Bayu Hartoyo after the Prosecutor's Office transferred the case files to the South Jakarta District Court some time ago.

"Yes, it is true that it has been submitted, the transfer of case files from the prosecutor's office on behalf of the defendants Arif Nugroho alias Bastian and Muhamad Bayu Hartoyo regarding violations of the child protection law," said Djuyamto.

The case of child murder and rape by Arif Nugroho alias Bastian and his colleague Muhamad Bayu Hartoyo took place at a hotel in the Jalan Senopati area, South Jakarta, on April 22, 2024. They killed a 16-year-old 'BO' girl with the initials FA.

The girl was rented by both of them for IDR 1.5 million. The victim died from being fed ecstasy and drinks mixed with methamphetamine and overdosed.
