Floods In Jakarta, 285 Personnel Deployed To Clean Garbage And Mud

"This clean-up action has started yesterday and is still ongoing today," said Head of the East Jakarta LH Sub-dept. Eko Gumelar, Thursday, March 6.

In addition to personnel, 422 operational service vehicles (KDO) were also deployed to speed up cleaning.

The East Jakarta LH Sub-Department deployed various types of vehicles to transport garbage, such as nine tronton trucks, 138 large lever trucks (dump trucks), 99 small transport trucks, 36 large rolls and 45 small arm roll, 38 large compactor trucks and 17 small compactors, 39 pickup cars, 14 transport engines (shovel loaders), and 77 carts.

To facilitate the transportation of flood waste in Jakarta, a number of strategic locations have been prepared, including the Rainbow Bridge (Cililitan-Kalibata), Ciliwung Inspection Road, and other flood-affected locations.

Not only cleaning up trash, the East Jakarta LH Sub-dept. also provides sanitation facilities for flood-affected residents, such as 4 portable toilet units, 26 garbage bins, and two water tanker trucks for sanitation needs.

In Jatinegara District, 20 personnel were deployed to clean up Pulo Village and Kebon Pala, Kampung Melayu.

"Kami mengerahkan dua unit shovel loader, lima dump truck besar, dan dua dump truck kecil," ujar Kepala Satuan Pelaksana LH Kecamatan Jatinegara Salam.

Pada hari sebelumnya, tim sudah berhasil mengangkut 125 ton sampah dari permukiman warga. "Kami berkolaborasi dengan OPD terkait dan warga untuk memastikan lingkungan kembali bersih," tambah Salam.

The East Jakarta City Government moved quickly to deal with the impact of flooding by deploying hundreds of personnel and vehicles. This step aims to ensure that the residents' clean environment and sanitation are maintained after the floods in Jakarta recede.
