Manage Budget Up To IDR 70 T, Minister Of Health Budi Gunadi Asks KPK To Provide Assistance

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin visited the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Thursday, March 6. He asked for assistance because his ministry's work program has a very fantastic budget of around Rp. 70 trillion.

"So we want to anticipate because the Ministry of Health gets quite a lot of additional funds," Budi told reporters at the location.

Budi explained that the first program that had fantastic value was for free health checks, TB acceleration to hospital construction. "That (the budget, red) is IDR 10 trillion," he said.

Not only that, Budi also said that the Ministry of Health received a loan program from the World Bank or the World Bank, which amounted to Rp. 60 trillion.

"This is to complete all health infrastructure, 10 thousand health centers, 514 public health laboratories in districts, cities and provinces, as well as 514 hospitals throughout the district, our city will upgrade their medical equipment," he said.

With this total budget, the Ministry of Health wants the KPK to provide supervision. "In the principle of openness, we first report it to the KPK," he said.

"These are the big projects, we ask to be accompanied, supervised, told that they are outside the news regarding irregularities so that we can fix them, including input from the KPK," he continued.

Meanwhile, KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa said his party was ready to provide assistance to the Ministry of Health. "We will continue to oversee three programs related to Asta Cita," he said.

The Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, continued Cahya, will also carry out studies related to health matters, especially those related to the fantastic budget. "We will work together," he said.

"Then also from the Deputy for Prevention (and Monitoring, ed) continue to conduct studies, which can also be assisted later from the Ministry of Health. In principle, the KPK will continue to support the Ministry of Health," concluded Cahya.
