JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police has revised the material for the competency test for traffic crime investigators in Jakarta. This change is a form of adjustment to the times.
"Initially it was only a certification for traffic accident investigators (accident), now it has been expanded to become a traffic crime investigator," said Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso, Wednesday, March 5.
Improving competence is also the main focus, from previously only seven competencies, now adding to 12 competencies. The goal can improve the quality and professionalism of investigators in carrying out their duties.
According to him, of the approximately 3,000 traffic investigators throughout Indonesia, only about 20 percent have been certified. In the future, it is hoped that more investigators will be able to follow certification with more comprehensive and relevant material.
Slamet also emphasized that this is an important step to ensure the safety and order of traffic in Indonesia.
"With this competency increase, it is hoped that the orderly culture of traffic can be realized and the safety of the community is more secure," said Slamet.
