Minister Of Religion Reports Hajj Progress To DPR: A Total Of 64.98 Percent Of Candidates For Hajj Pilgrims Have Paid Bipih

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar reported developments related to the implementation of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. Nasaruddin said that more than half of the prospective pilgrims had paid the cost of the pilgrimage (Bipih) of the total cost of Rp55,431,750.

"The progress of the regular Hajj pilgrims, first, the agreement between the BPIH of the Ministry of Religion and the DPR on January 6, 2025, BPIH 2025 is agreed on Rp. 89,410,258.79. Bipih Rp. 55,431,750.78. Of course, if we look at it, it is reduced by the Hajj deposits that have entered, yes, so the real Hajj pilgrims will later be paid approximately Rp. 28 million," said Nasaruddin, in a meeting with Commission VIII of the DPR at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 4.

Nasaruddin said, as many as 132,119 prospective pilgrims or 64.98 percent had paid Bipih. A total of 129,036 pilgrims have the right to be paid off, and 3,083 are pilgrims with the elderly category.

"Well, this is a bit fast progress, especially later we will see from the special pilgrimage it has been fulfilled in a very short time," he said.

Then, continued Nasaruddin, as many as 71,201 or 35.02 percent had not paid Bibih.

"Now, we are analyzing a number of areas that may have problems but we will immediately follow up and at the same time provide a way out," he said.

As is known, Indonesia this year received a regular hajj quota of 203,320, while special Hajj was 17,680.

The quota for regular pilgrims consists of 190,897 quotas for regular pilgrims who are entitled to be paid off, 10,166 regular Hajj pilgrims with priority for the elderly, 685 quotas for worship guides, and 1,572 quotas for regional hajj officers.

The process of paying Bipih is open from February 14, 2025 to March 14, 2025.
