Jambi-West Sumatra Traffic Flow Completely Paralyzed, Police Prepare 2 Alternative Paths

JAMBI - Police diverted traffic flow from Jambi to West Sumatra (West Sumatra) via two alternative routes after the break of the Sumatra Cross Road, Jujuhan, Bungo.

Head of Bungo Police Traffic Unit, AKP Edo Damara Yudha, said that due to the road break at KM 58 Jujuhan District, Bungo, the Jambi-West Sumatra traffic flow was completely paralyzed.

The police have prepared several alternative routes that people with two-wheeled and four-wheeled riders can pass.

Quoted from Antara, the two alternative routes, first from the direction of Jambi and Tebo, can pass Rimbo Bujang - Simpang Lopon - through Seven Koto - Koto Baru (Dharmasraya).

Next from Merangin, passing through Bungo City - Simpang Somel (right turn) - Rimbo Bujang - Simpang Lopon - Seven Koto - Koto Baru (Dharmasraya).

The second alternative route provided via Jujuhan - Simpang Rantau Ikil (right turn) - Pulau Batu Jujuhan Ilir Village - Koto Baru (Dharmasraya).

Meanwhile, six-wheeled and upper-axis trucks can cross the route via Kerinci - South Solok.

"For the road users, we urge them to postpone their trip or use the two alternative routes that we have prepared," he said in Jambi, Sunday, March 2.

On Sunday, at around 14.00 WIB on Jalan Lintas Sumatra KM 58, Sirih Sekapur Village, Jujuhan District, landslides and floods occurred due to overflowing of the Tukum River (Jujuhan River) which caused the access to the Bungo - Padang Sumatra Cross road to be cut off.

The Bungo Police have also coordinated with the Dharmasraya Police, the alternative route can also be used by motorists from the direction of Padang.
