Ramadan 2025, Prabowo: People Must Be Able To Reach Food Prices!

JAKARTA President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto instructed the Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet to monitor and investigate the absence of a spike in food prices at the beginning of the month of Ramadan 1446 Hijri.

"In the last few weeks, I have continued to monitor the development of the production situation and food prices, and I have also conveyed instructions to the Coordinating Minister for Food, Minister of Trade, Minister of Agriculture, all relevant ministers to ensure the availability of basic commodities and prevent a speculative increase and price spike," said Prabowo.

Prabowo appealed not to spike in food prices so as not to burden the community and the government will continue to strive in this regard.

"We have to work hard so that all the people, especially the people who need it most, must be able to reach the prices of these materials and I believe and believe we will do that and we have done that," he continued.

On the same occasion, Prabowo also emphasized that the relevant ministers should not only monitor but also prepare preventive measures so that price spikes do not occur and are ultimately used by speculators.

"Not only monitoring but taking executive steps, effective steps to ensure that no speculators take advantage of this Ramadan opportunity to increase unreasonable prices," he added.

Prabowo also congratulated Muslims on fasting and apologized physically and mentally.

"Of course I want to congratulate you on fasting Ramadan for all Muslims, also apologize physically and mentally. May our worship be accepted by Allah SWT," said Prabowo.
