Jaya Rampung Safety Operation Held: 29 Thousand Drivers Acted, Most Not Wearing SNI Helmets

JAKARTA - The Jaya 2025 Safety Operation which was held for two weeks has been completed. As a result, 29,001 motorists were prosecuted using the ETLE system.

"Reports for the recap of 14 days during the Jaya 2024 Safety Ops were 29,001 cases," said Wadirlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono to VOI, Wednesday, February 26.

It was planned that of the tens of thousands of motorists who were prosecuted, 12,141 violators were ticketed with static ETLE and 16,860 others with mobile ETLE. While the rest is done manually.

Not only taking action in the form of a ticket, said Argo, his party also gave a warning to 25,897 motorists. This step is a form of effort so that people are aware of the rules in traffic

Regarding the most types of violations for two-wheelers dominated by motorists who did not wear SNI helmets, the number reached 10,174 cases.

"The most violations are then against the direction with a total of 7,576 cases," he said

Meanwhile, the most types of violations for four wheels are the use of 21 telolet horns and 60 cases of overload over-dimention vehicles or odol.

"The most violations did not use a safety belt of 8,462 cases and the use of cellphones while driving 480 cases," said Ago.

Previously, it was reported that the Jaya Safety Operation 2025 was carried out from February 10 to 23. There are 11 types of vehicle violations that will be targeted, among others; running a red light; against the flow; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; using a cellphone while driving; and not wearing an SNI helmet.

Then; the vehicle does not match the technical specifications including the Brong exhaust; does not wear a safety belt; driving exceeds the speed limit; minor driving; Motorized Vehicle Number Signs (TNKB) do not comply with the provisions; and the use of rotators does not match its designation.

In addition, Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025 will also be carried out in all jurisdictions of Polda Metro Jaya such as Jakarta, Tangerang City, South Tangerang, and Depok.
