20 Soldiers Involved In Attacks And Destruction Of Tarakan Police Will Be Sanctioned

JAKARTA - Head of Information for Kodam VI/Mulawarman, Colonel Kav Kristiyanto said that around 20 Yonif 614/RJP soldiers were suspected of being involved in the attack and destruction of the Tarakan Police.

It is known that the attack and destruction of the Tarakan Police took place on Monday, February 24, at around 23.30 WITA.

"Yes, there are about 20 people suspected of being involved in the action," Kristiyanto told VOI, Wednesday, February 26.

However, further investigations are still being carried out on the dozens of soldiers. The goal is to ensure their involvement and role.

For this reason, Kristiyanto has not been able to explain the role of each soldier in the attack incident.

"Until now it is still being investigated, there are winners who are involved in throwing or others and there are also those who are just following along. Now they are still being investigated," he said.

Later, soldiers who are proven to be involved in the examination process will be dealt with according to the rules. Thus, justice will be felt by all parties.

"Take action against each member who is proven to have committed a violation, in accordance with applicable regulations," said Kristiyanto.

As a result of the attack, five Tarakan Police personnel were injured. Currently, they are undergoing medical treatment at Jusuf SK Hospital.

In addition, a number of Tarakan Police facilities were damaged, such as the SPKT room, the police chief's room, and the ETLE room.
