Prabowo Blak-blakan: Jokowi And SBY Are Not Ignorant, I Ask

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto admitted to studying the experience of 20 years leading the country from his previous officials, namely the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, both of whom led for 10 years.

In his speech in front of the participants of the Democratic Party's VI Congress in Jakarta, including in front of SBY on Tuesday night, President Prabowo denied that SBY was "cheating" or interfering when Prabowo asked for advice.

"Don't think about it, it's okay, isn't it. I asked to be ignored, I came to Pak SBY asking for input. Is it true Mr. SBY? You never entrusted anything to me, never, I came," Prabowo said in his speech.

Prabowo also denied that Joko Widodo also made jokes when he visited the former mayor of Solo.

According to Prabowo, his close relationship with SBY and Jokowi aims to learn the leadership of the two former Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Pak SBY has a dream of 10 years, Pak Jokowi has 10 years, 20 years of experience. Only stupid people don't want to learn from 20 years of experience," said Prabowo.

On that basis, Prabowo also invited SBY and Jokowi to jointly launch the Anagata Nusantara Daya Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, on Monday (24/2).

Prabowo Subianto was flanked by Joko Widodo on his left side, and SBY on his right side when pressing the button together while officially launching BPI Danantara.

The Head of State said that the Danantara as the state wealth fund or Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund will manage assets worth more than US$900 billion, with the projected initial funds reaching US$20 billion.

"This can (be done) because the previous presidents who secured, who guarded our Republic, have not been vaccinated by other countries for years, have not disturbed other nations for years," Prabowo said.
