Prabowo And Megawati Remain Harmonious, Gerindra: Uninvolved In Retret Issues

The retreat for regional heads, initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, as well as the General Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP, was held at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java, on February 21, 2025.

"I don't think it (influentially, red). I think the relationship is good," said Ahmad Muzani in response to reporters' questions when he was met at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, February 24.

PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri issued an official letter dated February 20 instructing the ranks of regional heads promoted by PDIP to postpone their trip to Magelang and wait for instructions from the general chairman of the party. The instruction came after PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday (20/2).

As a result, the first day of the retret of the majority of regional heads promoted by PDIP was absent. However, some of them began arriving on the third and fourth days of the retreat at Akmil Magelang.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, who is a PDIP cadre, came on the fourth day of the retreat. He said there were several considerations that were the reason for the delay.

“Saya mungkin masuk yang terakhir. Kami semua mengikuti retret secara baik-baik dan tentunya kami bertanggung jawab apa yang kami ambil langkah ini," kata Pramono.

At the Magelang Military Academy, regional heads underwent a series of activities, ranging from morning apple sessions and joint sports, then briefing sessions from several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, including Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Ace Hasan Syadzily, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN RB) Rini Widyantini.
