South Lampung Jati Agung Police personnel arrested four livestock thieves in the Jati Agung District area. This theft has deeply disturbed residents in the area.

South Lampung Police Chief AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin said the perpetrator was arrested on Friday, February 21.

"This arrest was made after previously the theft of livestock in Fajar Baru Village, Jati Agung District, South Lampung Regency, on Thursday, November 14, 2024," said Yusriandi Yusrin in South Lampung, Antara, Monday, February 24.

The four perpetrators of the theft of livestock were FY (28), D (42), R (23), and S (32) who were residents of Jati Agung District. The perpetrators were arrested in separate locations.

During the investigation, the four perpetrators who were arrested admitted to having stolen the resident's goat. During the arrest, his party carried out a series of investigations until they finally managed to arrest the suspects.

The theft case began when the victim, named Selfia AM, lost three brown and white goats from inside her cage. Due to this incident, the victim suffered a large enough loss, so he reported it to the Jati Agung Police.

"After receiving the report, the investigative team conducted an in-depth investigation until finally finding evidence that led to the four suspects. The first arrest was made against perpetrator S, who later revealed the involvement of three other perpetrators," he said.

He explained that the perpetrator was secured along with evidence, namely a red Honda Vario motorcycle Nopol BE 7987 EO and a red white angkong used by the perpetrators to carry out the action.

In addition, he emphasized that the perpetrators would be processed according to the applicable law and charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft by weight.
