AHY Leads Democrats Again, Teuku Riefky Harsya: Party Cadres Ask

BOGOR - The person in charge of the 6th Democratic Party Congress, Teuku Riefky Harsya, said that Democratic cadres support Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as Chairman of the Democratic Party.

Teuku Riefky Harsya expressed his aspirations regarding Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) 's position as Chairman of the Democratic Party has been conveyed.

This was conveyed after he and 38 Democratic cadres fled to the residence of the 6th President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) at Puri Cikeas, Cikeas Udik Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Teuku Riefky Harsya explained that 616 Democrat Party voters supported AHY to return to lead this party. They also proposed that Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) be able to return to be Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council for the period 2025-2030.

"Based on the aspirations of around 616 voters who were present at AHY's house, today we ask Mr. AHY to return to lead the Democratic Party and Pak SBY to become Chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council for the next five years," Teuku Riefky Harsya told reporters, Sunday, February 23.

He added that SBY had responded positively and accepted the offer to become Chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council after the discussions were held.

"Alhamdulillah, Mr. SBY has accepted and is ready to become Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Democratic Party DPP, Herman Khaeron, claimed that all cadres fully support AHY and SBY to return to lead the party.

This support is stated in an official letter signed on the seal by all voters, including the Party High Council, DPP, DPD, DPC, DPLN, and wing organizations.

"We have received a written support letter signed on the seal by 100 percent of voters, namely the Party High Council, DPP, DPD, DPC, DPLN, and wing organizations," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Democratic Party DPP, Herman Khaeron, claimed that all cadres fully support AHY and SBY to return to lead the party.

This support is stated in an official letter signed on the seal by all voters, including the Party High Council, DPP, DPD, DPC, DPLN, and wing organizations.

"We have received a written support letter signed on the seal by 100 percent of voters, namely the Party High Council, DPP, DPD, DPC, DPLN, and wing organizations," he said.

Herman added that in the letter of support, as many as 616 cadres who had voting rights at the Democratic congress agreed to support AHY to return to become Chairman of the Democratic Party for the period 2025-2030.

"This support has been handed over and signed in writing by 616 cadres who have voting rights in the Democratic Party Congress. We hope that AHY can continue his leadership for the next five years," Herman concluded about cadres of the Democratic Party asking AHY to become Chairman of the Democratic Party.
