KPK Calls Pupuk Komut Sriwidjaja Palembang Imam Apriyanto Regarding Corruption In The Sale And Purchase Of PGN Gas

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the President Commissioner of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (Pusri), Imam Apriyanto Putro today, Wednesday, February 19.

The former Secretary of the Minister of SOEs was examined as a witness in the corruption case of buying and selling gas between PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) or PGN and PT Isar Gas/PT Inti Alasindo Energi (IAE) in 2017 2021.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, February 19.

The material for the examination of Imam has not been detailed, nor is its presence before investigators. However, he is believed to know the alleged corruption that is being handled by the KPK.

As previously reported, the KPK on May 13, 2024 announced that it had started an investigation into the alleged corruption case at PT PGN Tbk. in the 2018-2020 fiscal year. The investigation into the alleged corruption case was based on the results of an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia.

The alleged corruption occurred in the process of buying and selling gas between PT PGN and a company with the initials PT IG in 2018-2020 and is said to have caused state finances of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah.

The KPK has also asked the Directorate General of Immigration for two people abroad. Based on information, they are Danny Praditya who is the Commercial Director of PT PGN for the 2016-2019 period and serves as President Director of PT Inalum and Iswan Ibrahim who is the President Director of PT Isargas.
