Instead of paying with money, the duck owner asked for a goat as compensation from the unlucky man. However, because he was unable to fulfill the request, this man ended up serving his sentence.

This incident became the spotlight after a video showing a police officer's conversation with the detainee was widely circulated.

"What case?" asked the police in the video uploaded to the Instagram account @pembasmi.kehaluan.reall about the reason he was in prison as reported on Tuesday, February 18.

The man also explained that he was detained because he could not pay compensation after hitting a group of ducks on the road.

"Usually hit a duck, sir, the person asked for compensation. It's just that how do I don't have money to compensate for it. Because he hit the duck he (the reporter) asked for a goat instead, so I don't want it," said the man.

Hearing the explanation, the police who were on duty laughed and asked the man to give a message via camera.

After this video was uploaded, many netizens made various comments. Most highlighted the actions of the duck owner which were deemed unnatural in asking for compensation.

Separate Clarification, Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Didik Hariyanto, said the video was a cash that was deliberately made by a Banten Police ICT personnel named Brigadier Nurkholis.

"Sudah dilakukan pemeriksaan. Keterangan awal setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan yang bersangkutan menjelaskan video yang viral tersebut merupakan lelucon," kata Didik.

Akibat perbuatannya membuat konten lelucon itu, polisi tersebut saat ini sudah di penempatan khusus (Patsus).
