SB Iqzza Express Motorists Named As Suspects

TANJUNG SELOR - The Bulungan City Police (Polresta), North Kalimantan (Kaltara), named the motorist of the SB Iqzza Express speedboat with the initials SI as a suspect in the accident of a speedboat in the Temangga SP 6 Tanjung Open River, Tanjung Palas Tengah District, Bulungan on February 10.

Bulungan Police Chief Kombes Rofiko Yunianto through the Head of Public Relations of the Bulungan Police, Iptu Magdalena Lawai, explained that IS was named a suspect after undergoing examination and title of the Polresta Satreskrim investigator case on Friday, February 14.

"SI's mooris ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, penyidik menilai ia (SI) kelawat sehingga menyebabkan kematian bagi orang lain," kata Iptu Magdalena, Senin, 17 Februari.

"The alleged article, namely Article 359 of the Criminal Code, states who because of his mistake caused another person to die, was threatened with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years or a maximum imprisonment of 1 year," he continued.

The speedboat accident resulted in 7 people being victims, with details of 4 people being found dead while the speedboat capsized.

"Then, two more people were found dead on Thursday, February 13, 2025, while another victim named Andi Badinah has not been found until today," he said.
