JAKARTA - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) is committed to prioritizing the sustainability of educational priority programs that have a direct impact on the community after making budget adjustments.

Minister of Elementary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said the provision of social assistance through the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) for SD/SMP/SMA/SMK levels and the provision of various non-ASN teacher allowances for public and private teachers will still be met in the Ministry of Education and Culture's budget for Fiscal Year (TA) 2025.

"Gajj and allowances for Ministry of Education employees are also ensured to be fully provided. Likewise, teaching and learning activities (PPG) will continue to be carried out as planned in the 2025 fiscal year," Mu'ti said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 13.

The Ministry of Education and Culture, he continued, made budget adjustments from Rp33.5 trillion to Rp26.27 trillion, in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 concerning spending efficiency in the implementation of the APBN and APBD.

He said the budget for the results of efficiency was still possible for further discussion of its use.

Mu'ti also explained that operational efficiency was carried out without disturbing services in main units and Technical Implementation Units (UPT) in the regions.

In addition, the budget is also allocated for priority programs such as increasing vocational education to produce graduates who are ready to work, protection and regional language development so that they remain sustainable, school accreditation to ensure the quality of education, as well as the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) which will be held in November 2025.

Mu'ti pun mengatakan pemerintah juga tetap berfokus pada pembangunan dan revitalisasi sekolah di mana pengalihan anggaran masih menunggu penyelesaian Instrus.
