"In initial information, NIkson Matuan admitted to being involved in the shooting in Hobakma Village, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains, which killed Brigadier Iqbal Anwar Arif," said Faizal.

Nikson Matuan was arrested by the Cartenz Damai Task Force on Sunday, February 2, 2025, along with two AK 47 firearms along with two magazines and ammunition he was carrying.
"The two firearms belonged to the National Police which Askel Mabel took from the Yalimo Police along with two other weapons which are still in the hands of the KKB," said Faizal.
