JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) proposed an additional budget of Rp9.69 trillion for 2025, including Rp280 billion to complete the Cikarang National Data Center (PDN) project.

This was conveyed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Komdigi Ismail in a working meeting with Commission I of the DPR RI at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Thursday.

"We have also specifically carried out prioritization which will have an impact on the community, the Ministry of Communication and Industry will propose an additional budget of Rp9.69 trillion," said Ismail.

"Including Rp280 billion from the sources of PHLN funds (Foreign Grant Financing) for the completion of the Cikarang PDN project and other operational and maintenance needs," continued Ismail.

Ismail said alternative financing would be sought to fulfill obligations and ensure the operational continuity of essential public services.

One of the efforts made is through the permit to use Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) as well as the increase in PNBP of the Public Service Agency (BLU) as the utilization of BLU services for the Telecommunication and Informatics Accessibility Agency (BAKTI).

On that occasion, Ismail asked for support from Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives to approve the proposed additional budget for 2025, including the allocation of PHLN funds of Rp280 billion for the Cikarang PDN project.

"Including the additional launch of the PHLN funding source budget of Rp. 280 billion for the completion of the Cikarang PDN project which will soon be submitted to the Minister of Finance," said Ismail.

Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives Dave Laksono stated that Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives supports the proposal for an additional budget of the Ministry of Communication and Industry of IDR 9,685,741,176,000.

"Including Rp280 billion from the source of PHLN funds for the completion of the Cikarang PDN project," said Dave.

In the working meeting, Ismail also said that the proposed efficiency of the 2025 budget ceiling, which was previously IDR 4.49 trillion or 58.17 percent, received restructuring or adjustment by the Ministry of Finance to IDR 3.84 trillion or 49.57 percent.

"The results of the adjustment, the Ministry of Communication and Industry has experienced budget adjustments with budget efficiency of Rp3.84 trillion or 49.57 percent of the budget allocation ceiling for the 2025 fiscal year," said Ismail.
