After Eating Ciki, 39 Elementary School Students In Lebak Banten Were Poisoned

A total of 39 elementary school students (SD) Negeri 1 Cikareo, Cileles District, Lebak Regency, Banten were poisoned by snacks which were distributed free of charge by unknown people on Wednesday. The school students experienced nausea, dizziness, and vomiting.

It is not yet known for sure who the light meal provider is, but based on the school's narrative, the light snacks in the form of ciki are distributed free of charge by minibus drivers who pass during school break hours.

"The chronology is during rest hours at around 10:00 WIB, the children are out. Snack the term is here. Then there is a black Avanza car distributing food, snacks, snacks, ciki," said the Principal of SD Negeri 1 Cikareo Nana Sutisna.

He said that at that time dozens of his students were fighting over the snacks. "The name is also free, he said. Maybe everyone eats, eventually gets it," he said.

After eating the light snacks, students ranging from grades 2, 3, to class 4 experienced symptoms of dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. In fact, two of them had to be rushed to the puskesmas for intensive treatment.

After receiving medical treatment due tojajan poisoning, dozens of students who were poisoned with snacks in Lebak had improved.

On Thursday morning, they returned to school and studied as usual. The sample of the food has been taken by the puskesmas for further investigation," he said.
