Attorney General Asked To Allow KPK To Check Jampidus Regarding Alleged Corruption

Attorney General ST Burhanuddin was asked to cooperate and cooperate regarding the handling of alleged corruption in the auction of shares of PT GBU, which was confiscated from the Jiwasraya case.

It is known that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received a report on the alleged corruption with the reported Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Febrie Adriansyah.

A criminal law expert from Bung Karno University, Hudi Yusuf, assessed that the Attorney General must allow the KPK to examine him. Thus, the report can be investigated further regarding whether there are allegations of corruption that occurred.

"If the evidence is sufficient, there is no reason not to sign. Don't take too long, it must be approved immediately," said Hudi in a statement quoted on Wednesday, February 12.

According to him, cooperation between institutions and institutions is very necessary. However, if Article 8 Paragraph 5 of the Prosecutor's Law regulates that there must be a permit from the Attorney General before taking forced action against problematic prosecutors, then, said Hudi, the regulation is recommended to be changed

"If it is considered that it can hinder the process, yes, it must be changed. All agencies have rules, especially in criminal acts, there is at least sufficient evidence," said Hudi.

Meanwhile, the KPK has received a report on the alleged corruption case. The report was carried out by the Civil Coalition to Save Mines (KSST) against Febrie Adriansyah and officials from the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) to the KPK on 27 May 2024.

KPK spokesman, Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto, said the verification and collection of information materials were still ongoing. Thus, the status of the case has not been upgraded to the investigation stage

If it meets the requirements, it will certainly be raised to an investigation. However, if something is lacking, it will be asked by the reporter to complete it," said Tessa.
