So The Location Of The Brawl, Residents Confide In Deputy Governor Riza Asking For The Paris City Bridge To Be Torn Down

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he received complaints from residents regarding the Paris City bridge in the Tanah Tinggi area and Kampung Rawa, Central Jakarta, which is often used for brawls. The residents wanted the bridge to be torn down.

"Regarding the Paris bridge, residents really want the bridge to be torn down. These are four urban villages, Galur, Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Kampung Rawa," said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 20.

Seeing the residents' encouragement, Riza admitted that currently his party was reviewing the demolition plan. Because, initially this bridge was built to facilitate connecting access between two areas separated by rivers.

"The function of the bridge is as a liaison. Communicating, delivering from one place to another. However, because this place was allegedly a place of brawl," said Riza.

However, said Riza, this assessment process is not as easy as turning your palm. This is because there is a need for residents who want to use the bridge as a connecting access.

"This is being studied and considered. In the near future we will decide what is best. Is it demolished, or is it looking for a solution or the bridge can still be used but not used for brawls. Later we will announce it," said Riza.

Separately, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Bina Marga Agency admitted that his party had coordinated with the Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) regarding the plan to demolish the Paris City bridge.

Hari also admitted that the bridge could not be torn down. Because, it is a regional asset that must be held accountable for its existence.

"We can't be arbitrary. Later, if we dismantle it, as soon as there is an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency, we will be asked which bridge assets are here, how come they don't exist," said Hari.

Therefore, the Office of Highways will request that the City of Paris bridge be removed from the regional asset list. "So the assets will be deleted first from our KIP. If the assets have been deleted, then we will dismantle them later," said Hari.
