Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Southwest Sumba Police, AKP I Ketut Rai Artika, was contacted from Kupang, Saturday, saying the search process had been carried out until the fourth day.

"Today is the fourth day of the search process, but it's still nil," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 8.

He explained that the search process for the last four days was carried out from 08.00 to 16.00 WITA.

The victim was attacked by a crocodile last Wednesday, at around 14.00 WITA in Ledewero River, Letekonda Village, Loura District, Southwest Sumba Regency.

While washing on the edge of the river, the victim was suddenly attacked by a crocodile from the side. Her husband, who was about 15 meters from the victim, tried to catch up but the crocodile continued to drag the victim until it was not seen again.

In the evening a traditional ritual is carried out. After the ritual, residents and the victim's family conducted a search at the scene.

While searching, the victim's child named Blasius Lomi (37) returned to being the victim of a crocodile attack.

His body was found on Thursday (6/2) morning, with the condition of his body with scratches and bites.

Ketut appealed to residents and their families not to look for victims at the depths to prevent new victims from happening.
