North Kalimantan Police Prepare Kayan's Safety Operation 2025

TANJUNG SELOR - The Regional Police (Polda) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) and their staff at the Polres and Polresta levels will hold a Police operation with the code of operation 'Keseamatan Kayan 2025' which will be carried out for 14 days or from 10 to 23 February.

Director of the Directorate of Traffic (Dir Ditlantas) Polda Kaltara Kombes Arief Budiman said the activities in all jurisdictions of the Kaltara Police were held in the form of a security maintenance operation in the traffic sector.

"This Police operation is part of the National Police's actions in the context of preventing, overcoming and taking action against disturbances in public security and order (Kamtibmas) as well as handling disasters that are held within a period of time, targets, ways to act, involving the strength and support of certain resources," said Kombes Arief Budiman, while giving directions for pre-operation training at the North Kalimantan Police Rupatama Hall, Thursday, February 6.

"The purpose of this operation is to create kamseltibcarlantas conditions and increase compliance and discipline in community traffic," he continued.

The police will minimize the fatality rate of accident victims and traffic violations ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H/2025 M including traffic jams.

"During the implementation of the " Kayan Safety Operation 2025, we prioritize sympathetic, persuasive and humanist actions to the community of road users," he said.

He explained that Kayan's 2025 Safety Operation target was illegal vehicles, not manufacturer standards, and using sirens/rotators/strobes that were not intended for it.

"Including the TNKB of motorized vehicles that are not in accordance with the rules, technical specifications," he explained.

It is hoped that the purpose of implementing this operation can be achieved and run smoothly with the support of an active and positive community.

"This is because safety on the highway is for us together," he said.
