In Front Of Prabowo, PBNU Affirms Support For Government Programs

JAKARTA - PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf emphasized in front of President Prabowo Subianto that the largest religious organization in Indonesia is ready to fully support and contribute to government programs.

"We dare say that we are ready to contribute fully to the agendas and government programs," said Gus Yahya when opening the 102nd NU Harlah commemoration at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 5.

Gus Yahya emphasized that NU has a responsibility to contribute to the benefit of the people.

He explained that anyone who presents a benefit to the community, especially the government, must get full support from NU.

According to Gus Yahya, PBNU has collaborated with a number of ministries in the Red and White Cabinet, including the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, BKKBN, the Ministry of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers, the Ministry of PPPA, and Bulog.

All of this cooperation is to ensure that PBNU, which has a base down to the grassroots level, cooperates with the government to deliver priority programs, can be conveyed properly to the public.

"All of this is to help so that the benefits and benefits of these agendas really arrive and are felt by the people. God willing, we will continue to work with the people for Indonesia," he said.

This collaboration, said Gus Yahya, has been going on for the past three years and will continue in the future. Mainly, cooperation that brings benefits to the people.

"There is a lot of cooperation that has started a few years before this which we continue. And besides that, we are also gathering new cooperation," said Gus Yahya.

Previously in Sarasehan Ulama, Gus Yahya emphasized that public welfare, education, health, and the economy are the responsibility of the government, but NU wants to participate in making it happen.

This is in line with NU's promise since its establishment, namely to be solemn to religion, society, nation and state.

"NU has the basic value to serve, serve, serve the community. NU was born because it was encouraged by the desire to try to bring benefit to the community, for the people," he said.
