Police Call Gay Party At The Setiabudi Hotel South Jakarta For The First Time Held

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police said that the case of a same-sex party that occurred at a hotel located in Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Saturday, February 1, was the first time it was held.

"This is the first time the confessions of the suspects have been made. But we are still investigating it again," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Renakta of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Iskandarsyah, ANTARA, Wednesday, February 5.

According to Kompol Iskandarsyah, the suspects who were arrested were not the overall committee in every activity because in fact there was a change to be the organizer.

"So, they are not the overall committee in every activity, they just happen to be there," he said.

He said the suspects, consisting of RH alias R, RE alias E and BP alias D, held the event to find people with similar sexual behavior. In addition, the participants were not given the lure of something to take part in the event.

"In this case, there is none. So, because they are looking for the community here. So, only the host (host) who is used as a suspect makes it easier for obscene acts there," said Iskandarsyah.

Polda Metro Jaya is still investigating the same-sex party case.

"This is still being investigated, how long has the activity been carried out, anywhere, how many times and so on," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi last Tuesday, February 4.

Ade Ary said, based on the facts that occurred in the field, the participants were gathered in a room and asked to enjoy the event.

The suspects are subject to Article 7 of Law no. 44 2008 concerning Pornography regulates crimes for people who fund or facilitate pornographic acts.

Then, Article 36 of Law (UU) Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography regulates the prohibition of displaying pornography in public and Article 296 of the Criminal Code which regulates criminal acts to facilitate or cause obscene acts.

"With the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 15 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 7.5 billion," said Ade Ary.
