JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) revealed that a resident died as a result of being swept away by the current in Tasikapura, Jayapura, Papua. This incident occurred due to heavy rains in Jayapura.

In addition, there were also landslides in Polimak and fallen trees that had disrupted the flow of traffic.

Currently, the water has gradually receded and the fallen tree has been cleaned. He hopes that the community, especially those who live on the slopes of the mountain, is aware that the predicted rainfall is still high.

"BNPB Jayapura City continues to urge people who live on mountain slopes or near river flows to be vigilant, especially when it rains heavily," said Asep Khalid.
