Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov doubts US conservative host Tucker Carlson's claims regarding Joe Biden's government plans to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We really don't know what Carlson meant when he said that," Peskov told reporters on Wednesday, when asked for comment on the matter.
Peskov noted Carlson "did not provide any evidence" when he claimed on his podcast earlier this week that President Biden's Administration had "tried to kill President Putin."
"Currently without evidence, no matter what evidence comes from anyone, it's better not to just believe it," said Peskov.
Earlier, Tucker Carlson on Monday accused the Joe Biden Administration, which ended last week, of trying to kill President Putin.
"The Biden administration did, they tried to kill Putin," the former Fox News host said in her latest podcast episode, "The Tucker Carlson Show", as quoted by Politico.
"That's crazy," added Carlson.
"It's crazy, you can think of something like that. So why do they do it? Because chaos is a cover that protects them," he said.

Carlson did not provide any evidence to support his claim. President Biden is known to lead the US from January 2021 to January 2025.
On Tuesday, the Kremlin initially responded to Carlson's statement with a general statement confirming that Russian intelligence agencies are taking every action to protect President Putin and other officials under state protection.
Carlson visited Russia twice for an important interview with President Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
