MUI Asks To Stop PIK 2: Fun Conglomerate Project 2:

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) asked the Prabowo Subianto Government to stop the National Strategic Project (PSN) at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2.

According to the Head of the Tabayyun Team and MUI Advocacy regarding PSN at PIK 2, Masduki Baidlowi, the PSN project at PIK 2 must be revoked because it violates the people.

"There are many disadvantages, the language of the people is wronging the people. We recommend withdrawing the PSN. If he only suffers the people and pleases the conglomerate, then don't do it," said Masduki at the MUI Office, Jakarta, Friday, January 24, which was confiscated by Antara.

Masduki said that the revocation of PSN at PIK 2 was a brief substance of the results of the IV MUI National Working Conference (Mukernas) which was held some time ago.

He conveyed that this was the truth that had to be upheld, because MUI also received a lot of input related to harm from the project which caused trouble in the community.

Masduki emphasized that MUI also pays attention to this issue, because this is also a problem for the people because it is considered to have violated the rules for its implementation.

"This is the only recommendation in the MUI leadership meeting after Mukernas was finally followed up by a team so that the MUI recommendations could run and be fought for," he said.

Therefore, Masduki stated that his party is currently strengthening the network and coordinating in an effort to reject the continuation of PSN at PIK 2.

On the other hand, the Head of the MUI for Infokom appreciated the development of the government which took firm action regarding the negative impacts on the community caused by the project.

"It's like traveling, nothing, not halfway through yet. There are many challenges, we need to build solidarity, build a lot of friendship. Hopefully, we will fight for this, get the pleasure of Allah SWT and our struggle will be successful," said Masduki.
