Ciliwung Normalization Land Acquisition Target Is Still 17.17 Kilometers

Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Office, Ika Agustin Ningrum, said that the target for land acquisition for the Ciliwung normalization project is still 17.17 kilometers long.

In 2024, the DKI Provincial Government has acquired land on the banks of the Ciliwung River in Rawajati and Cililitan Villages with a length of 200 meters.

"Previously, the remaining 17.4 kilometers had not been dropped, now as of 2024 yesterday there were only 17.17 kilometers," Ika told reporters, Wednesday, January 22.

This year, the DKI Provincial Government is still continuing to pay for the land acquired for the construction of the normalization embankment.

Along with that, the central government through the Ministry of Public Works (PU) is building a physical embankment from the land that has been acquired.

"If you play on the Rawajati bridge, it looks like there is physical progress by the Ministry of Public Works. This year it is finished for the swampajati and cililitan segments," he explained.

This year, the DKI Provincial Government has allocated a budget of IDR 90 billion for land that has not been acquired in the Rawajati and Cililitan segments.

After that, the DKI Provincial Government plans to acquire land in Pengadegan Village. However, Ika said that it is still an inventory of land parcels that need to be acquired in the area.

On the one hand, Ika admitted that the land clearing process took a long time. "It's sorting out which ones have a basis for rights that don't have a basis for rights, then which ones are worth paying, which ones don't deserve to be paid. That needs effort," he added.
