The police arrested a private employee with the initials WA (25) suspected of being the perpetrator of rape or rape of a student with the initials NN (20) in Central Banjarmasin, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Banjarmasin Police, Ipda Aldy Febrian, said the victim after being forced to immediately provide information to his family's WhatsApp group and reported that he had been sexually assaulted by the perpetrator who was an old friend and had hidden love for NN.

"NN after being raped immediately turned to the family WhatsApp group which happened to live not far from the crime scene (TKP) which is located in one of the indecosts located on Jalan Soetoyo S Teluk Dalam Banjarmasin Tengah," he said in Banjarmasin, Monday, quoted by Antara.

Aldy said that after receiving the information, the victim's family immediately went to the crime scene and secured the perpetrator.

The indecent incident occurred on Sunday night at around 23.15 WITA and the perpetrator was immediately arrested and secured by the victim's family at around 23.30 WITA.

Currently, the perpetrators have been detained at the Central Banjarmasin Police for further investigation for their actions of being forced.

For the crime scene that occurred in one of the boarding rooms in the housing complex in Central Banjarmasin, a police line has been installed for investigation purposes.

"We are only conducting initial examinations and the legal process has been submitted to the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Banjarmasin Police Satreskrim," said Ipda Aldy.
