PDIP Calls Megawati And Prabowo's Meeting Plans Can Relieve Riots

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Said Abdullah, said that the plan to meet PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri with President Prabowo Subianto could ease the noise amid rumors of their strained relationship.

Said said Megawati and Prabowo had a very good inner relationship. The meeting of the two is also believed to have a positive impact on the national political climate.

"His second meeting is certainly good for national political life, at least easing disproportionate noise, especially from the Offenders," said Said, Friday, January 17.

Said also hopes that Megawati and Prabowo's meeting can be held before the PDIP Congress in April 2025. Prabowo, said Said, will also be officially invited to attend the PDIP Congress.

"Pray for the second meeting, he can be held at least before the PDIP implements the Congress," said Said.

"As an honorary guest at the Congress later, of course, Mrs. Mega should have met with President Prabowo," continued the Chairman of the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI.

Said believes that Megawati and Prabowo's meeting will talk about state politics, legal improvements, complying with the constitution, geopolitical issues to food and energy issues. He also asked that the good relationship between Megawati and Prabowo was not interpreted as a political cow trade.

"In addition, the good relations between the two figures also ask not to interpret the political cattle trade, where PDIP enters the government. The characters of the two figures are not like that," he said.
