Police Are Still Hunting 9 TIP Perpetrators, One Of Them Is Interpol Fugitives

TANGERANG - Police are still hunting for 9 out of 25 people who are on the wanted list (DPO) who were involved in a criminal act of trafficking in persons (TPPO) during October 2024 - January 2025.

It is known that the police have arrested the 7 perpetrators with the initials R (7), DSK (54), IA (36), K (33), AT (34), AD (24) and LS (43). It was recorded that they were arrested from October 2024-January 2025.

"We are also still hunting down nine DPOs," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, Kompol Yandri to reporters, Thursday, January 16.

Yandri said that of the 9 DPOs, one of them was a fugitive from the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). One of them is an Interpol fugitive," he said.

Therefore, he ensured that he would arrest the perpetrators involved in the TIP. This is a form of the police's commitment to eradicate these crimes.

"We convey that the National Police together with the Ministry of Manpower are committed to providing protection to the Indonesian people not to become victims who will go abroad," he concluded.

Previously, the police named 7 perpetrators suspected of being involved in criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) during October 2024 -January 2025 as suspects. The 7 perpetrators had the initials R (7), DSK (54), IA (36), K (33), AT (34), AD (24) and LS (43).

"Of these seven people, they are still in the process of being investigated and detained at the Airport Police Headquarters," said Soetta Airport Police Chief Kombes Ronald Sipayung to reporters at the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police Station, Thursday, January 16.

Ronald said there were 25 people who were victims of trade by the 7 perpetrators.

In their action, they divided roles to smooth out their crimes from recruitment to distribution abroad.

"Initials R as the recruiter, DSK who helped the departure and IA distribute the work to Oman. Then the male suspect with the initials K recruiter, AT helps the departure process, AD," he said.

"As well as LS as the recruiter of victims. So they are recruiters of illegal PMI candidates and help the departure process unprocedurally," he continued.
