President Pezeshkian Affirms Iran Has Never Planned To Kill Anyone, Including Donald Trump

JAKARTA - President Masoud Pezeshkian in an interview with the US television network NBC confirmed that Iran has never planned to kill anyone, including Donald Trump and will never do so.

That was said by President Pezeshkian in response to a question raised byung Holt in the NBC 'Nightly News' program, one of the potential threats to diplomacy can be seen as what the US believes Iran plans to kill the elected president.

"All the killings and acts of terror that we have seen occur in the region, Europe, and other places, are there any traces of the involvement of Iranians in them or are there other foreign nationals? Is there any connection between the terror killing and Iran? Never! Iran has never pursued murder and acts of terror," said President Pezeshkian, launching IRNA January 15.

"Never, never at all !," said President Pezeshkian when asked again about Trump's murder plans.

"We had no such intention from the start," said the Iranian president.

Iran has repeatedly rejected attempts by "bad political motive" to engage the country in a premeditated assassination in the United States.

That was after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of Justice claimed that a Pakistani citizen was suspected of working with Iran to plan and kill political figures, including Trump.

Trump, a Republican politician who won the US general election last year and will take office next week, survived two attempted killings during the campaign - one in September when he played golf on his golf course at West Palm Beach, Florida, and another during the July campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania. Investigators found no evidence of Iran's involvement in the two experiments.

Iran has previously denied Washington's claim that Tehran interfered in US affairs, including through cyber operations.

Instead, Tehran said Washington had been interfering with its affairs for decades, citing various events ranging from the 1953 coup against a prime minister to the killing of its military commander in a US drone strike in 2020.
