SOUTH KALIMANTAN - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) has installed a monitoring camera or CCTV to monitor residents who litter at the South Lingkar Dalam Liar TPS, Banjarmasin City.

He said CCTV installations were distributed at several points as a form of education and socialization to the public to dispose of waste at polling stations provided by the local government.

"This monitoring camera will help enforce local regulations related to environmental cleanliness, as well as social sanctions for people who still throw garbage in that location," he said.

Muslims explained that the CCTV installation was carried out after a coordination meeting with the Environment Agency and the Transportation Service, in this case the South Kalimantan Diskominfo provided a number of monitoring cameras in the TPS area.

In addition to maximizing CCTV, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government has also installed road medians and paved roads around polling stations, socialization of the ban on disposing waste will also be maximized using various channels and social media of South Kalimantan Diskominfo to make it more known to many parties.

However, Muslim said, the installation of CCTV has not been completed because there are a number of supporting equipment and facilities that must be equipped, such as installing public street lighting and adequate electric power.
