KPK Leader Denies Postponing BJB Corruption Cases To BI-OJK CSR

JAKARTA - The Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, emphasized that the investigation warrant (sprindik) has not been signed for a number of cases, not because of intentional delays, but because there are administrative matters that have not been completed.

Ghufron conveyed this when responding to questions regarding the sprindik for alleged corruption in the placement of advertising funds by PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (BJB), as well as allegations of corruption in the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), which have not yet been published.

According to the information received, the two cases have actually been agreed to be upgraded to the investigation stage in the case title. For the BJB case, for example, there are five people suspected of being involved, with details of two people coming from internal parties and three people from the private sector.

"This is only a matter of administrative processes. Substantially, what has been exposed means that the material is sufficient to be then lifted and followed up on the investigation," said Ghufron, quoted on Wednesday, December 11.

Ghufron explained that the cases in the KPK, especially those related to public complaints, would usually be followed by investigations and investigations. However, the process is accompanied by various administrations that need to be resolved first.

"Friends then prepared the administration and report to submit the Corruption Crime Report (LKTPK)," he explained.

"The process from exposure to being an LKTPK and prepared to leave the sprindik is part of the administration that is being prepared by the Task Force friends. After that, it will only be submitted to the leadership, and the leadership will issue the sprindik," continued Ghufron.

The KPK leadership, he continued, will certainly be transparent and unselected. Therefore, there is no reason for them to postpone the signing of the sprindik of certain cases.

"So, in principle, what has been exposed means that it is ready to be transferred to the investigation. What is completed in the administrative process, it will be immediately delegated to us and we will definitely be open," concluded Ghufron.
