TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A. Paliwang asked the determination of the minimum wage in 2025 to pay attention to several important factors including inflation, economic growth and people's purchasing power.

This was conveyed at the Plenary Meeting on Minimum Wage Determination in 2025, Tuesday, December 10.

The governor appreciated the implementation of the 2025 Minimum Wage Determination Plenary Meeting which was also attended by the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) of Kaltara and representatives of Trade Unions throughout Kaltara.

"The minimum wage is one of the important instruments in maintaining the welfare of workers and regional economic stability," said the Governor.

A balance between the interests of workers and employers is very important.

Therefore, the determination of the minimum wage must go through various processes of discussion and joint study, between the government, trade unions and employers' associations so that the decisions taken can reflect justice and sustainability.

The governor hopes that the active participation of all parties involved in this plenary meeting to determine the minimum wage can run well and can provide benefits for workers and companies in Kaltara.

"We must collaborate, both workers and employers must support each other in creating productive jobs with hard work and good cooperation," he explained.

The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kaltara is committed to making the right decision to improve the quality of life of workers while at the same time supporting a conducive business climate.

Together with the government, workers and entrepreneurs will be able to achieve a common goal to create our region that is more alert, just and prosperous, said the Governor.

"Hopefully this decision that will be taken can bring benefits to all parties and become a step forward in improving the quality of people's lives in North Kalimantan," said Zainal.
