New Maneuvers Of The Democrat Party In The Moeldoko Camp: We Propose That AHY Be The Cagub DKI

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Democratic Party of the Moeldoko camp, Muhammad Rahmad, has opened the option of providing support for Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to run as a candidate for the Jakarta Governor Candidate for the 2022-2027 period.

This latest maneuver seems to obscure the political chaos that is taking place in the party bearing the Mercy logo. The reason is, currently there is a dualism of leadership within the Democratic Party, namely the AHY and Moeldoko Leaders.

"The DPP of the Democratic Party, led by Pak Moeldoko, intends to propose AHY for the second time as a candidate for the Governor of DKI Jakarta," he said, Saturday, April 3.

However, this discourse is still premature considering that there are a number of stages that must be passed in determining the name that will be carried out in a regional head election.

"It needs to be tested whether AHY's level of popularity and electability can beat Anies Baswedan," he said.

Furthermore, Rahmad ensured that the DPP Democratic Party who chose Moeldoko's leadership was a cadre with a true democratic orientation. This is reflected in Moeldoko's reason for accepting this party's proposal.

"Pak Moeldoko leads the Democrat Party, the orientation is not power. Pak Moeldoko's orientation is to save democracy, save Golden Indonesia 2024, "he said.

In relation to the government's refusal through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights on the legality of the management of the Democratic Party in the extraordinary congress version (KLB) of North Sumatra, Rahmad sees it as part of the constitutional process.

Although the results were not expected, he said he would continue to make legal efforts in accordance with the rules of the game in force in this country.

"Currently there are two DPP Democrats. The DPP Democrat Party led by Pak Moeldoko has decided to continue this process in court. The Democrat Party will become one party when there is an irrevocable decision from the Supreme Court, "he concluded.
