JAKARTA - The Surakarta City Police Sparta Team detained 5 residents involved in the dice gambling case in an Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD) operation through Community Disease Operation (Pekat) in Gadekan Village, Jebres District, Solo, Sunday, March 7.

The Head of the Surakarta Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, through the Head of Sabhara, Kompol Sutoyo, said that the 5 residents who were secured were also caught consuming liquor in Gandekan, Jebres, Surakarta city at around 01.00 WIB.

Currently 5 residents with the initials P (55), residents of Boro RT 02 / RW 05, Jagalan, Jebres, Solo as bookies, and four installers with the initials TL (53), S (50), JN (39), and WP ( 40) underwent an examination and was detained at the Surakarta Police Headquarters.

A number of evidences were also confiscated in the form of Rp1,027,000 cash, paito, 3 sets of dice, 3 coconut shells or shells, a Samsung brand cell phone, 1 black leather wallet, 1 bottle of mineral water containing 600 milliliters of ciu liquor. .

Sutoyo conveyed that the incident began with the Surakarta Police Sparta Team while carrying out a regional patrol led by the Head of Dalmas Iptu Broto. During the patrol activity, the team received complaints from the call center that dice gambling was taking place in the Gandekan Jebres area.

The Sparta team immediately moved to follow up on the complaint to the location of the reporter. After arriving at the location, it was true that dice gambling was taking place.

The police carried out an ambush for residents involved in gambling, and managed to secure five people along with evidence. Then the team summoned the head of the local RT for coordination related to these activities.

"We immediately secured 5 residents along with their evidence, and were immediately taken to the Surakarta Police headquarters for initial data and delegated by the Criminal Investigation Unit for legal proceedings according to procedure," he said.
