JAKARTA - Medan City mayor, Bobby Nasution is again reaping praise from residents for keeping his promises in the Medan Mayor election campaign.

After tearing down the illegal building which is a heritage of Medan City, he returned to action by visiting a home owned by Ramli Sinaga to be renovated.

"During the campaign period a few months ago, I promised to return to visit Mr. Ramli Sinaga's house when I become elected mayor of Medan", said Bobby in his @bobbynst Instagram post, quoted on Sunday, March 7.

Bobby said he would keep his promise to fix Ramli's house. The reason is, Ramli and his family live in quite apprehensive house conditions. The house is only paved with dirt, wooden walls and has no roof. There is only one room where the living room doubles as the bedroom as well as the kitchen.

"During this visit, I asked for permission from Mr. Ramli Sinaga to renovate his house through a house renovation program created by the government", said Bobby.

He hopes that the government can continue the house renovation program for underprivileged families in order to get a decent place to live.

"Hopefully, this program from the government can help underprivileged families in the city of Medan", said Bobby.

President Joko Widodo's son, Kaesang Pangarep, commented on Bobby's upload. He appreciated Bobby's action, who came directly to the resident's house and fixed it.

"Great work, sir", wrote Kaesang via his account @kaesangp

Bobby also replied to that comment. "It's nice to see you in my comment section, Kaesang. Greetings to the President from us, Medan citizens, sir", replied Bobby who is also Kaesang's brother-in-law.

Other netizens also supported Bobby's house renovation program.

"Hopefully, he remains trustworthy", said the @chitra_panjaitan account.

Some even claim to be satisfied and not regret choosing Bobby in the last Mayor election.

"Great work, sir. My struggle to go to the polling station and elect you by riding my bike in the morning was worth it", wrote the account @ lisalie.gani.
