JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, explained the reasons for the lack of targets for vertical drainage or infiltration wells in the capital city as one of the flood control programs.
Since the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan took office, a total of 3,876 new infiltration wells have been made. Specifically in 2020, 2,974 infiltration wells were made. In fact, the target for infiltration wells in 2020 is 5,000 points.
Riza said that the reason for making infiltration wells has a minimum target because it is constrained by the vendor who will work on it. DKI is still undergoing the e-Catalog process (virtually) to attract as many vendors as possible.
"We have to use e-Catalogs. We will try to encourage all entrepreneurs who have products to enter analogue. So that there are more choices so that they are more evenly distributed, not monopolized by one or two companies," said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 2.
The DKI Provincial Government wants many vendors to work on infiltration wells. Therefore, Riza invites entrepreneurs who have products related to infiltration wells to join in supplying the material.
"We will enter it into the e-Catalog. We will process it according to the mechanism and rules, so that later we can choose the best, cheap option, which is of course useful for the community," he explained.
Previously, the Chairman of Commission D DPRD DKI Ida Mahampang criticized the slow realization of the promise of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan regarding infiltration wells. Anies once promised to build 1.8 million infiltration wells by 2022.
