Police arrested two theft perpetrators with the car glass breaking mode in Denpasar, Bali

DENPASAR - Police arrested two theft perpetrators with the mode of operation of breaking the car glass in Denpasar, Bali. Two perpetrators named Abdul Wahid Abdurrahman (40) and Ikram Yaru (42) have repeatedly carried out actions in the same mode.

"From the results of the investigation, they admitted that they had acted 11 times with details of 9 crime scenes in the Denpasar Police and 2 crime scenes in the Gianyar Police Area," said Denpasar Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Jansen Avitus Panjaitan in a written statement, Sunday, February 28.

Before taking action, the two actors first went around on motorbikes looking for targets.

They are eyeing parked cars while checking for items in the car.

After it was confirmed that there were items to be targeted for theft, the perpetrator Abdul Wahid took action. In just a matter of minutes, Abdul Wahid, a recidivist of the same case in 2007, broke the car window and took the victim's belongings.

"The perpetrator broke the windshield using a screwdriver. After that the perpetrator took the victim's belongings away," said the Police Chief.

During the investigation, the perpetrator admitted that some of the proceeds from the crime were sent to his family in Ternate, North Maluku. The rest is sold again for the perpetrators' daily needs.

"With this incident, we ask the public to be more careful not to carelessly leave things in the car," he said.

The arrests of the two perpetrators began with a report by a man named Helmi Zamani, Thursday, February 4. The victim reported losing his item with a broken windshield while parking at the Gosha restaurant, Gatot Subroto Street, West Denpasar.

For more than two weeks, a search was carried out, the two perpetrators were arrested at their boarding house on Persada Street, West Denpasar.
