The Citizens Disappointed Regarding The Arrest Of Nurdin Abdullah After Inaugurated 11 Regional Heads

JAKARTA - South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah has inaugurated 11 regents and mayors who were elected winners of the simultaneous regional elections on December 9, 2020, Friday, February 26. Unexpectedly, it was not yet 24 hours since Nurdin was taken over by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Nurdin inaugurated 11 pairs of regional heads in Baruga Karaeng Pattingalloang who were at the Governor's Office of South Sulawesi.

Nurdin even sent a message to the regional head who was inaugurated by Agara Amanah via a tweet on his Twitter account @nurdinabdullah.

"On behalf of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, today I inaugurate eleven regional heads and deputies in South Sulawesi. I believe that you are options in this area who can carry out their duties and responsibilities as well as the mandate of the people as well as possible", wrote Nurdin in quoted on Twitter, Saturday, February 27.

Citizens immediately attacked Nurdin's tweets after being involved in a hand-arrest operation (OTT) by the KPK, Friday, February 26 night to Saturday, February 27 in the morning.

"I can't believe it, he immediately got subjected to OTT", wrote @afdholmarthoni in response to Nurdin's tweet.

Referring to the mandate conveyed by Nurdin, another netizen also replied to Nurdin's tweets.

"We thought you can be trusted and clean. You've hurt the trust of the people of South Sulawesi province who fully support you. Indeed, the world of politics without money without being corruption will not be able to move forward. All need guts @hendrase79.

It is known that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Task Force Team conducted a hand-arrest operation (OTT) against South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah, at midnight, Friday, February 26.

"That's right, on Friday, February 26, at midnight, the KPK arrested the perpetrators of corruption in the South Sulawesi region", said KPK Deputy Chairman Nurul Ghuffron when contacted by VOI, Saturday, February 27.
