Minister Of Health Budi Gunadi Will Set Rates For Independent COVID-19 Vaccination

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin will later set the maximum cost for the independent vaccination program or mass vaccination. This rate will have to be followed by private hospitals and other health facilities.

This is stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Vaccination in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic Article 23 Paragraph 1.

"The maximum rates for the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination service is determined by the Minister", said the article quoted on Friday, February 26.

After the rate was set by Budi Gunadi, the price of vaccines offered by private health facilities was not allowed to exceed the maximum rate.

"The cost of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination service carried out by public/private Health Service Facilities may not exceed the maximum rate set by the Minister as referred to in paragraph (1)".

There are also types of vaccines used in this independent vaccination program, which are different from vaccines that are included in government programs.

"The type of COVID-19 vaccine for the implementation of Mutual Cooperation must be different from the type of COVID-19 vaccine used for program vaccination".

The distribution of vaccines used in this standalone program is carried out by PT Bio Farma, which can later work with third parties.

Meanwhile, the implementation of independent vaccination still refers to service standards and standard operating procedures. This procedure will be determined by the head of the health service facility according to the technical guidelines for vaccination services.
